We have some wonderful shops who offer classes and workshops taught by local teachers including many Missoula Quilters' Guild members. We try to keep our EVENTS page up to date with local shop classes, but the best way to find the latest information is to visit and/or contact the shops directly. Please also register directly with shops for their classes.

Happiness 2.0
This is a paper piecing class that will be taught in 3 classes. There will be a weekday class and a weekend class. There are multiple color ways. The pattern contains the primary color fabric requirements and cutting instructions.
For other color ways please check out becolourful.com, Happiness 2.0 by pattern designer Jaqueline DeJonge. This is a 38" x 38" wall hanging and is a good beginning quilt to learn her piecing methods.
This is not a beginning paper piecing class, prior paper piecing knowledge and experience is required.

Lotus Flower Workshop
Join Quiltworx Certified Instructor, Vida Anderson, for this beginner friendly Judy Niemeyer foundation paper piecing workshop. Vida will teach you how to read a Quiltworx pattern, how to prepare your fabrics, pattern and foundation papers and of course teach you the necessary techniques to make the Lotus Flower wall hanging/table topper.

Around the Block
Around the Block is made with a border stripe fabric, pattern is by Ann Lauer of Grizzly Gulch Gallery in Helena, MT.

Everything Judy Retreat
Join Quiltworx CI - Vida Anderson September 20 - 24, 2023 for her first Everything Judy Retreat in Helena, Montana.

The retreat will be held at the new Mount Helena Quilt Retreat located at 314 N. Rodney Street, Helena, Montana. This retreat is for ALL skill levels! Bring your Quiltworx/Judy project or maybe you want to start a new one. Sew Fly Quilts will have a store set up with all our favorite paper piecing notions and supplies as well as Quilltworx custom colored kits and of course patterns. And there are going to be some fun door prizes!

Included in the cost is your lodging, ALL meals and snacks, teaching from a Certified Quiltworx Instructor and a Quiltworx Trunk Show with some actual Judy quilts! Only a few spots are left!
Suncatcher Workshop
We are pleased to announce and host our very first Quiltworx workshop being facilitated and taught by Quiltworx Certified Instructor, VidaAnn Anderson. She has taken our collection of Tilda’s Pie in the Sky fabrics and created a custom colorway for the new Quiltworx Suncatchers pattern. Each pattern makes 3 - 30” square table toppers/wall hangings using a different combination of the same fabrics. You will create 1 block of 1 table topper in the class and learn the technique to be able to complete the rest at home.
Complete kits are available to purchase for this class in the Tilda fabrics or you can pick your own fabric. This workshop is a one-day workshop you will not want to miss. And it’s a great beginner Quiltworx pattern.
Patterns are required and available for purchase. When you sign up for this class we will send you a link to an instructional video for the prep work that must be completed prior to class.
